  1. The Grooters came into Australia in 1924 they were the last of the imports from the UK before imports where stopped. So they are an old Australian family of pigeons they like many of the other old Australian familys like the Barkers, Harrison, Logan are being chased by many as they will race on hard days un like the current imports.

I race Soontjens in Australia they perform best for me on days with velocities between 800mpm and 1400mpm and at distances from 250miles to 600miles here are a couple of pics BBP H 1st club 1st section 4th overall 300mile smash race winning club by 39min Velocity 1045mpm 4400birds BCC 1st club 3rd section 11th overall also 1st Raffle Ring Race 5000 birds 310mile velocity 1152mpm he was my second bird the week before from 310miles could have got 4th club velocity 1090mpm
