Thank you for info.How long do pigeons normally stay out and about?The day it didn't come back it started snowing,would that have caused the problem?

Thank you for amending the title.Unfortunately, I no longer have this pigeon. It arrived on the 18th of August,living in the garden and outshed, until last Wednesday 11th of February, when it didn't come back. Knowing nothing of pigeons, I am wondering is it is likely to return here or will it fly back to its owner ? Just worried about its whereabouts.

This pigeon arrived in my garden on 18/08/08 exhausted. It has stayed in the garden, roosting in an outshed until Wednesday 11/02/09.I always check as we have two cats We have had heavy snow for the last two weeks and the day it didn't come home it was sleeting and snowed the next day. Am just a bit worried, any ideas?I know very little about pigeons.The ring with letters and numbers was green on its left leg, and it had a white band on the other.
