  1. When we say Ireland, we mean Northern AND Southern. This time we are going to Port Rush and Waterford. Last time we had a circle round from Dublin to Waterford, Cork, and Galway. Julia
  2. We have dealt with John Miller a few times. Top bloke. We have been established Since November 2008 and decided to add Ireland as an option, which we now do on a monthly basis. There is still John Miller in between..... Julia

  9. We have been asked many times if we would do a trip to Ireland so i have arranged the following dates Thurs 24th September - Sat 26th September. If you have any birds that you wish to get across to Ireland, please let me know via email on jmcouriers@sky.com and i will be able to quote you on the number of birds needing to travel. People who have used us already know that all birds in our care are frequently checked and water given at every opportunity. Also food if held overnight with the sellers permission. You can be assured they will be given the same personal care and attention if we take your birds across to Ireland. It may be possible to also take food, accessories and equipment across. Just email your requirements and we do our best to accomodate. Julia
  10. LOL Must be our Sat Nav having a laugh. Last bloke who said that to me lived on a steep hill basically over hanging a ravine, in the middle of a forest. Road didnt have pot holes, it had caves. He did have electric though Julia
  11. Depending where in Wales, we are coming back from the Scotland Run on the 7th August and it may be possible to collect the birds from the NE and deliver them same day on our way back South. Like i said, depends where in Wales as most of the roads are tricky if off the beaten path. Julia
  12. Post code turned out to be PR7 not PO7 as first thought. Julia
  13. The owner has now been found.
  14. We have with us a pigeon that was handed in by a non fancier. The wording on the wings is in red but quite hard to read the tel number. I have rang what i think is the tel number and left a message on the answering machine. You can read Chorley, Lancs clearly but the Post code is PO7 3EU, which is quite confusing. The other information we can read seems to be 11 South Downs? The Ring number is N 07 6692. Any information would be much appreciated. Julia
  15. hi all barry got back from spain a couple of hours ago not a happy chap, police and the csi have been round for what good they will do,it seems like all the birds have been stabbed through the back and out through the chest, will pass on all your kind words and keep you updated. mike
  16. just to let you all know my next door neighbour had some fukcing idiot(s) kill all his 140 young birds some still in the nest and all his stock birds, not a pretty sight, mike jmcouriers
  17. Lovely Cornwall, as we are from Taunton we see quite a bit of! Julia
  18. Hi Paul, yes i did thanks. Have sent you a PM. Julia
  19. Hi It started as once a week but now we fit it in whenever we can, which may be a wait because we dont really get a lot of calls to do Wales at all. Newport, Cardiff, Swansea, Merthyr Tydfil, Ebbw Vale, Abergavenny and Hereford are the most popular ones we get the calls from (not just pigeons but the other stuff we do as well) Julia
  20. From the 23rd March, please be aware that our prices have changed to £30 for up to 5 birds and £2.50 per bird thereafter. Groups of 10 and over, please contact us for a price as discounts may be available. All deliveries to above Glasgow and Edinburgh already pay an extra £10 to go towards covering diesel costs. For those already booked, i.e the Scottish trip, the old price of £25 for up to 6 birds and an extra £10 if above Glasgow/Edinburgh, still applies. The extra £10 to go towards covering diesel costs if above Glasgow/Edinburgh, will stay the same on the new pricing structure. Julia JM Couriers
  21. What calendar are you looking at Chris? The 2nd Thursday/Fri in the month of Feb was the 19th and 20th. I should know, because the 20th was my Birthday and i spent it in and around Glasgow/Edinburgh delivering pigeons amongst other things, while Mike went on up as far as Inverness and Portnockie. The weather was sunny, the scenery wonderful and as a treat to customers i even knocked a fiver off the delivery charge, it being my Birthday. One chap who was having pigeons replaced free of charge as he lost a number to a predator, i ripped the cheque up that he gave me and said the least i could do if they were being given free of charge, was to courier them free of charge too. And Chris, I cant be answering the telephone and out delivering. I rely on Lauren and Hazel to pass on messages that need attention. As you had a text explaining the situation with the neighbour being on holiday etc and were told that the bird would be collected on the next trip, that being the 5th March, i didnt feel it was necessary to telephone you as well. Where you got the 26th from as a delivery date, i have no idea because we cover the South on alternate Thursdays :-/ Julia
  22. That would be the 12th one you left in the basket then, after taking 11 out and then ringing mike to ask to check his load when he was halfway back into England to see if there was any chance he could bring it back. He said no because of the other collections and deliveries that he had to do in England and that we would get our neighbour to look after it until our next run, which would have been 2 weeks later, had we not been out delivering for a week solid (home only for 1 day that week, mainly to collect your bird) and then knocking on the neighbours door to get your hen at 7am, only to find they had gone on holiday the day before and their son didnt know which bird it was Typical. So it had to be left for another 2 weeks. Still, at least you have her now Julia
