  1. hi there very sorry for not replying. camera has gone down at the moment, but they are general garden fantails with a good roung tail. they have laid there first eggs a couple of days ago, i have got quite a few orders for racers so have no room to foster eggs away, so sorry young fantails will only be available from the one pair, as plan was to foster eggs to racers. cheers stu.
  2. hi all, i have just paired the racers and my wife has put her fantails together, the fantail cock is white and the hen is coloured,so not sure what colour young will be. so we are taking orders for young birds, we do not require many racers so fantail eggs will be floated, our fantails are used for trapping we used them for the first time last year and now would not be with out them, birds will be very tame as birds are far to fussed over! all fantails will be £5 each, you can collect or amtrak? we are at stafford, in the midlands,
  3. hi there, yes my wife has a pair, cock is white, hen is coloured, the wife will put them together next week, and then she sells the yougsters for £5 each, and yes they are very very tame, as our fantails are used as trappers, if your interested just give me a shout, we are at stafford in the midlands. stu

  15. hi all, with the present situation as it is i cant see my club racing much over 150 miles, so could the cocks be exercised for a one 1hr'ish session a day and perhaps 2 35 mile chucks a week? with the hens having an hourish in the morning and also being raced, as i have up to yet a loft full uf pigeons that are not tested fully yet, and i know i have some good hens, cheers stu

    RED CELL

hi what is this product used for?
  19. hello there, hope the boxes are ok, glad to here youve seperated the sexes, how are you feeding the cocks, individual or in a trough,as its only my thought but if they are fed individual they will become more protective over box and easier to catch as prisoners! the nest box fronts are the natural type with the perch on the front, now i would pair up in feb, i would put the hen in the box and lock it and the cock will dance around on the perch, what do people think leave all birds like this for about 1-2hr then let them together a couple of pairs at a time, as for when to put nest bowls in i was thinking of about a week before you pair up? im working out my pairings now,and yes will have a couple for you, did we say you will have 4 pairs to breed from, so two rounds = 16 y/b + my 2 = 18 if you can get a few more i think a team of 20-25 will be adequate, me myself only rear about 30 never do well at y/b racing but on the other hand get them all back not very far away from each other and only ever lose a few! cheers stu,
  20. hi all, i think i had a good first season well with the old birds any way, now the advice is i will not be racing hens next year as to busy with work, the end section in the loft is 4ft wide by six foot deep,i was thinking of some sort of floor grills with either rows of saddle perches or sloping continental perches, there will only be between 8-12 hens in this section, what are others thoughts on this, or what would you do or have done? much help fully appreciated, oh p.s wife does not like the idea of boxes locked away all week, plus at the mo the hens come out 3 times a week and fly for about 45mins,she wants to keep this up thru next season and let them fly in the comeback season once the cocks are 3/4 thru the season to test the hens as well? stu
