Louella and nat breeding station have them, mate bought 12 from louella many year ago lost one of loft 1 went on to breed fed winner after fed winner other ten all won. Myself got one from kellytom and it bred me 1st sec 3rd open fed sartilly 500 mile 15hrs 20 min on wing, personaly found out that if you did not get them on the day that was it never seen them again but they would fly all out that first day.

All you do is join the rpra and the english nat club then no matter where in scotland you are you can compete so open to whole of scotland peg.

Yes rennens had the magic affect, when i was growing up al the local people would ask if we had anything going to rennens this year, even remember sitting in one of the local social clubs one sunday afternoon listening to the turns that were on, and there were pair of twins who use to do poems not the classic kind lol, and that day in the poem was the rennens race and our loft stirling bros, now these people did not keep pigeons, but like the rest of the locals they new about it, and deeks i was not trying to apply it was down to the west route you were doing well of course all the other things you mention are needed, good birds etc etc, was just trying to point out it not dun you much harm in that respect. Yes getting rid of them a answer but lets be honest with ourselfs here. how hard have we tried, yes i no some people have fought on out behalf but as a whole i talking about, personaly i think we going about it the wrong way, of course keep the pigeons in our argument, as that is what we are fighting for. But outside of us who realy cares if we race pigeons or not, at this moment in time the big thing is the enviroment, so lets use it. Say there 100 thousand sparrowhawks 40 thousand percys, now say they take 1 bird every 2nd day now that is 420 thousand birds a week. Now if we lose them then the insect pop grows if that grows then the farmer need stronger pestiside to keep them at bay, plus the other imbalances that would occur if the birds were not there. Now we have printers in the sport why dont we fund a campaign, were they print out the truths about the great birds of prey, we then on the ground can leaflet as many houses all over the uk with them. Have marches with banners etc etc, everybody else that fights there corner does these things why not us.

Think it was 1st sec 11th open major it also flew 17hrs on the wing from think it was avaranches as well. And deeks we race mid week from dunbar and there 6 to 7 peregrine nests there as well they are every where now, and ijust adding to the debate some times i think we would be better down the west then i think wait a min no that not the answer, but we are stuck because the east route is def not the way either, north route i would not mind a go at that then there prob as much birds of prey in the highlands as well.We all no the problems it the answers that are the hard bit.

Deeks at this moment in time are you not flying the most consistant at nat races than you ever have, with some very good results? And take the first nat this year from newbury the south and the midland fed had great race from that point now that race point is west. do you think that it was down to your birds racing the west route that happenend.

Majorpet, the best breeding pigeon i ever had came from the north sec i got it from kelly tom, and it was bred by wilson noble being a g/son of black rocket .

I think you may be right scot about the west route, we are getting lib over the east side of the pennines, now the birds will not cross over it so they then must fly up the east side then cross over, the cross over i dont no where that may be. But we must be puting miles on there trip, the birds of prey are everywhere now days, and the people who have been training out of abbington elvenfoot beatock and thorten rd end have all had good year in our fed lanarkshire and there losses were no greater than those training from the east side.

Any country that flys pigeons have same things in common, there are lofts that are not in good locations and they have the hardest fly in that set national. Now most things you can apply logic to, but not pigeon flying, take most races there will always be some bird or some person will have exeptional race or post in that race. Now does that make all the rest of the birds that fly in that sec that are way behind in open result bad pigeons? And there races where like the y/b nat some have great returns and others are wiped out now just because some have had good returns does that mean the ones that did not make it are bad, remember we are talking of top flyers with top bloodlines here. Point i trying to make is pigeon racing can not be taking as set rule hence we can not apply logic to pigeon racing.

And if shotgun tim was in the west we would be crying for him to go as he could win all there is to win here wings, point is good flyers are good flyers where ever they fly.

who is weirdo and how did they sneak back

There is def something wrong with the birds getting in to the west, what it is i dont no, there wiser than me dont no the answer. This year the lanarkshire birds did not get any distance with there birds and i think this was one reason for lots of losses there, i see j murphy on about the birds in the se of the country flying great distances before the y/b nat and then they have great race that i would not argue with, but if we had to try that here in the west we would have no y/b left at all for the y/b nat. we just need to look at our last y/b race with the fed use from 150 -160 mile and there are use bad races. Maybe we should take the attitude and send them on and only be left with a few each year and then breed from them and maybe just maybe in 4 to 6 year time you will have family of birds you could send anywhere but are we brave enough?

Think they have to either make first bird timed to be phoned in or scrap the arr line altogether, as it becoming a waste of time.

i would watch the cod liver oil stu as many a good loft have ruined there birds with it, it builds up in the liver remember reading about one of those lofts few year back in one of the year books.
