feed him rice that makes thme explode dont it and ive tried the towel trick but it aint working

two days ago now a pidgeon flew into my caravan must have thought to be its home ive fed it with bread and gave him water,ive noticed he got a red ring on his leg but when i try to catch him he flys away ive tried all sorts ive lured him into the caravan but he goes straight back out how do i catch him as i am only 16 and know limited infomation about pidgeons if any body could give me any info please i would be grateful griffiths
