Well she decided to return this morning so had her breky and went again...now she is back and ive given her tea to her and shes happy eating away..will pen her for tonight and open the door tomorrow again......its now 5pm so she has obviously had a good flight today........

Honey took off this morning and obviously had enough exercise ;Das she has just come back,its 5pm and shes having her tea..............so will pen her again untill tomorrow and open the door in the morning....she is obviously a very happy birdie ;D

She went yesterday aft after the rain and took off after her feed ;Dand did'nt rtn last night.......but she is having her breky right now,she was sat on the top of the dome with a friend......a collared dove,she then flew onto the house roof for 5 mins and then back onto the floor and into her room ;D,i have closed her in for now and will open it up tomorrow at her usual time 7am.......she spent most of yesterday morn sleeping her head off so i guess she will do the same today...............will keep you all posted on her...........

Well..good morning all 8)..i let honey out yesterday afternoon and she took off,didnt rtn last night but she is having her breky right now ;D,she was sat on top of the dome with a friend............a collared dove .........and then she took off onto the roof but 5 mins later she was in her room eating ;D....so i will let her rest today and let her out maybe this afternoon ..........if not then...then will open the door at 7am tomorrow.............. I will keep you all posted on her

Hi,we have a GSD so we dont get cats in the garden ;D..and i am only opening the door during the day...i shut her up in the night...well actually 6-7pm..when the little minx comes back for her tea....... ;Dso she is free to go in and out from about 7-8am..today however.its raining cats and dogs ;Dso she hasnt ventured out yet..and the door is wide open..she actually went down to feed and shot straight back up into the roofspace.where its warm and dark and cozy..........she certainly knows her own mind (wiseman)

We live in lincs...........i have actually posted on lost/found birds and explained our storey..........the owners dont want it back..i have spoken with them.........they said if she was to be couriered back to them..........she wouldnt stay with them and would come straight back to us so we have accepted her ........on her terms...if she stays she stays....if she flys away then thats up to her...we have an unused aviary which she is in overnight and released everyday...but she still returns here............we did however ask the owners to call us after the weekend to let us know if she had returned as she was taken to Cambridge...but flew back here.........and they didnt call....so what does that tell ya.......... ??) So thankyou for that anyway..........

Hi all,newbie here........acquired lovely hen.....flew into our garden last sunday 3rd Aug,i have taken all the neccessary steps to rehome her,got owners detailes etc from RPRA and they dont want her,.they say as she has been here for that long.having us tried twice to rehome her........ie taken her away from here to near where she lives........firtsly Horncastle.then Cambridge.owners live in Yaxley....... shes come back here everytime.............so will be maybe picking all your braines for feeding and wintering tips..... We do keep Cockatiels and Budgies so we arent exactly dummies ;D....have a good one

thanks for that........i would like some general advice........maybe for wintering her....when to let her out etc......im no dummy but i would think if its raining etc she wouldnt go anywhere..would that be correct...is it best to let her out first thing or just leave the door open all day.........i did notice that she was looking a little heavy when she took off yesterday.as both hubs and myself though...oh no shes not going to gain height.....but she maneged to get up about 12 feet onto a low roof and then took off........im feeding her cockatiel food right now.with my added barley and lentills from my stew mix ;D..all raw ofcourse

hi......you are joking right....... ;Dmy hubs would kill me if i said yes....the birds we have in our outside htoel ;D.heating/lighting,quadrupled lined,music on.......were at one time in the house.however i developed allergies to the powder etc.so hence why all outside.........to have more birds would be a wrong thing to do.........thanks anyway.she is fine on her own......she can come and go as she pleases...........

Hi,i did report it which is why i have the owners detailes..however he has made it clear he/they dont want it back...so we are happy for it to use us as her owners,you never know she may decide to fly home one day.....we rae just happy she is healthy and eating and if she continues to stay here then she has a home for as long as she wants it.

Hi,I am new on here today,I have been emailing Richard Sanderson for the past week regarding a beauty that decided to move in with us.I have also been emailing Karen at RPRA..........with ref to a pigeon that has decided to have us as her parents . She came to us on sunday 3rd Aug.....and has flown daily and returned. It took me a couple of day's to trace the owner.......and after a couple of attemts to take her to another area to release her in the hope she goes home.....she has come back here. I have been feeding her etc and houseing her overnight in an unused circular aviary.which has an enclosed dome shape roof,weather proof,with a large perch in the top and shelving for roosting over night. The owner actually called me on Friday night and said.....do you want to keep it???????,then his wife came on the phone and i told her id called him Henry ;D.however she laughed and said........he is a she..so im calling her honey........ My hubi was actually travelling down to Sheerness on sat morn so took it and released it at Huntingdon Cambridge area as it lives in Yaxley.......however she came back to us. i actually said to the owner...give me a call after the weekend to let me know if you have her....guess what..........no call.......so on that note i think it is fair to say she is staying here ;D,i opened the dome door yesterday and she came out,flew on the roof and sat there..........then at 6pm last night.came down and went back in the dome. She is a beauty,its pouring down today so i will keep her in..............she is a big fat girl ;D.......she is ringed and got a tracker on............however the owner said he didnt want to pay for her to be couriered back as she will only fly back here................so i guess we have another bird. We keep budgies and cockatiels. Anyway............just thought i would say hi and will hopefully post a pick soon........
