  7. you will find ivermectin is the best cure for all one drop on the back of the neck and a couple of drops on the perches will eradicate all and worm the pigeons at the same time
  8. i would also suggest culling asap its not a very nice experience
  9. still awaiting a reply off them and a explanation
  10. i still have one of louellas kept in the garage in the freezer
  11. didnt have to have them tested it was obvious what the problem was within 24 hours. they made a point of telling me twice they had just vaccinated them before collection something which stuck in my head for some reason and next morning 2 of them were in quite a state with head stuck on floor and no sense of direction . fair enough at first i thought it was possible to be a reaction to the vaccine but the quickness it moved through them seemed to me to be a lot more than a reaction and there was no way they were coming around and wasnt a very nice sight. i know it might sound a bit of a hasty reaction to dispose of the young bird loft but i think it will be the right one
  12. hi im absolutely gutted its not often you will see me sat in the garden trying to hide my tears from my sons but i feel physicaly sick they watched each egg develop and were excited when they hatched and tossed coins to see who got which one out of each pair it brought back good memories for me. and for what to sit down and have to cull all there cherished youngbirds i felt helpless and felt i had let them down. we are in catterick north yorkshire im sat here pretty upset so dont mind me thank you very much for the offer i dont mind paying for some more youngbirds for them i just hope that everything will be ok with the new loft thats coming from blakes on monday
  13. i phoned them the day after picking the young birds up to tell them that there was a big problem with the birds i had picked up the day before and asked them if they had anyone else that had problems. they told me they didnt know of any other problems and told me to kill them and they would replace them but my sons have been devastated and last thing that was on my mind was bringing more birds home from them i have videos of the birds loss of use of legs and heads between legs unable to lift off the floor i had to also kill 18 youngsters of there own that they had contact with some of which they had spent all there own savings on buying the best stock they could afford including two daughters and a son of a national winner they have a new loft coming monday but im scared to death of buying anymore youngbirds
  14. well i have two young fanciers here that are devastated at the moment and i have been racking my brain to get to the root of the problem but think this thread as just hit the nail on the head. at the moment i have killed all there youngbirds apart from a couple that had not had contact with the louella birds i even took the drastic measure of pulling there young bird loft down and burning it and had to order a new one im sick my wife is sick and my sons are bewildered
  15. could someone please enlighten me to what was meant by problems with the stud in question thanks
