  1. Thanks for the reply, I told my friend about that and he mentioned that you where right on the money with your recommendation.
  2. I'm looking for email address's of German breeders of Dutch Highfliers, this is for a friend here in the US who's looking to introduce a new pattern into another breed.
  3. Why I thank for the encouragement.
  4. I think the way I sent the article you might not be able to read so here's a larger copy.
  5. Well after a 1.5 years of usage it's showing it's wear. I call it the "Over the Top Loft" it's got everything Fan's even a drip system on the roof for the heat. I'll post the article I wrote in that magazine it might be a fun read.
  6. I wrote an article in a very good US pigeon magazine called PureBred Pigeon back in Jan/2014 in the rare breeds edition. My birds aren't quite up to I feel the Standard or I should say even close yet but I'm working on it. My breeder in Germany works with me and the birds I get from him and the club members are very good, some even taking 95 and 96 points in the VDT Show I'm very fortunate to have a great support group in my breeding. I'll try and send some pictures. I appreciate your interest in these beautiful and very friendly birds.
  7. Thanks, I sure will. Here in the US I show these Markischen's in the Rare Breed Category and people at the shows show a lot interest in them and always ask to buy some but right now I'm having to build up my breeding stock.
  8. I also have a Green Wing Macaw I've had for 33 years and once I put on a stand on the patio and within minutes a very large Red Tail hawk showed up in a near by tree and this Macaw of mind is almost 3 feet long [close to 1 meter].
  9. If he's still breeding Markischen's and he bred these he's really doing a very good job, except for the red's station these birds are very nice and I see the Standard all through these birds.
  10. Are these your birds? What country do you reside in? Beautiful birds.
  11. About 4 years ago there were some talk about the Markischen Magpie Tumblers in the Forum. Right now as far as I know I'm the only one in the USA with these birds. I belong to the German parent club in Germany and I'm on their web site as a breeder and next year I will be showing them at the Grand National in Los Angeles, California at the end of January/2015. In Germany they do fly these birds although I can't fly mind due to hawks. I will be importing some Blues this year, I will then have all colors except Khaki and Pearl and Dun. This is the second year of breeding these little gems and the first year was a total disaster but I'm recovering just fine. There are accounts of breeders here in the USA using the White self's that sometime pop up out of a pair of reds, yellows and blacks as a breed similar to the Royal Snow Tumbler though the German Standard for Markischen Magpie Tumblers does not recognize white as a color in the breed and this is the Standard by which I adhere too.
