Hi, We had a stray pigeon land in our garden in St Albans, and after contacting the RPRA we were instructed to feed it with rice and to give it sugar water and then told to encourage the bird to leave by not feeding or watering it after 48 hours. The bird did not leave after 48 hours. It was quite brazen and came into the house through the back door, even after repeated attempts to shoo it away. I attach a number of images of the bird Further Stray Pigeon Images.zip; it did not have a ring number on the blue ring attached to its right leg, or discernible contact details on the wings. The bird has a mostly white plumage with a pink/brown crest. After further correspondence with the RPRA we contained the bird and then released it at No Mans Land - Ferrers Ln‎, Hertfordshire AL5, UK https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=ferrers+lane&hl=en&ll=51.798026,-0.303154&spn=0.016614,0.048795&sll=51.798,-0.302982&sspn=0.016694,0.048795&hnear=Ferrers+Ln,+Hertfordshire+AL5,+United+Kingdom&t=m&z=15&layer=c&cbll=51.797974,-0.302823&panoid=1tUQfhfD2FrWY58syBwkpg&cbp=12,199.36,,0,13 Hope this helps, Many thanks.
