  1. try feeding 50% barley/depurative & 50% normal feed.... if you notice in the young bird season some youngsters have got blue/grey tongues due to feeding a heavy protein mix but when you lighten the feed up they excersise much better getting fitter and in doing so the blue/grey tongue goes away(ie they are carrying internal fat) this also happens in older birds...my thoughts only...

I know what you are going through mate, when we started back up again in 2000 we borrowed a good pair of joe shore based stock birds, the little b*****d killed the cock plus 5 latebreds i had gifted to me.. I blame the little b*****d for my dads heart problems.. keep your chin up and don't pack the birds in you'd miss them

  3. i had 6 jan aardens brought for me as a birthday present in 2006 got 1 left she had

    4x1st as a young bird

    3x1st as a yearling

    2x1st as a 2yr old       plus the 2nds, 3rds and 4ths aswell  

    a young hen has won out of her this year.........    

    6 for 99 quid, can't be bad

    the same as anywhere there's good pigeons and bad ones just got to try and find the good ones
