Received a phone call today and got back one cock bird ring No 1227WTC07. Just two missing now.

Had them about 6 month. Been out quite a few times just circling the loft and always returned. There are two other Lofts within half a mile from me and i think they have tried to team up with the birds from there taking them too far from the loft.

3 pair went out of sight with only two hens returning. Then received a phone call from someone half a mile away who had taken another hen in. Cocks been gone three days now. Had other birds out with the hope of attracting them back but still no sight.

Has anyone every experienced Blindness in their Birds? A friend of mine has two hen pigeons that appear to have developed blindness in one eye and are losing weight. They began by closing the eye and he assumed that they had either been in battle or had debris in the eye. It has now been two days since he first noticed the closing of the eye and has rang me tonight to say that the iris of the eye appears to have lost colour and is clear as water. He suspects the eye is blind. Any ideas before he consults a vet?
