In Egg! (Newbie) (1/8)

  1. i would like some advice on a feeding drinking and exercise plan to suit my working commitments to make life easier for myself. the problem is that i dont have all day everyday to spend with my pigeons. this season i have been up at half 5 basketing ang training. i have taken the birds 20 miles away. i dont mind early mornings but struggle to get birds out in the evenings as i often work late. im not sure that my feeding and drinking plan is working because i cant stick to a routine. i would welcome any ideas that anyone has on a simple feeding and drinking plan. the one i have been using is the barry mcnicholas feeding plan but i can follow it to the letter because of my work commitments

    any ideas

i have the added problem of work commitments. I work for myself as a plumber and have to work long hours. just wondered if any one out there had any ideas on any simple plans on how to manage my birds next season and fit this in with my work. i have found it extreamly hard this year to race the birds and keep in a routine i need all the help you guys can give me. like everyone else i am still learning and would welcome your ideas.
  5. i not sure how work cos everyone i send dont seem to go through
  6. not sure my pm is working
  7. my losses have been quite big
  8. i fly in two feds. the first is the derbyshire north road which i am the sec of my club cromford nrfc and the second is the north derbyshire south road fed and i fly with cromford sifc
  9. stick it out because if you have to take your loft down then so does everyone else who lives in council propertys around the country. i had the same problem myself and i was aloud to keep mine. do either your husband or yourself suffer with any illnesses because this will work in your favour espesially if either of you suffer with depression
  10. there are a lot of people out there who may think that we are novices but this is not the case. in november of last year i lost my dad to cancer with whom i had a partnership of over 15 years. my dad didn't take it too seriously and never got the best from the birds. this resulted in me taking over the pigeons with my two sons who are novices shortly after he died. i took over everything we had including stock birds which may i add have very good pedigrees and we paid a lot of money for. we had to move the loft which i guess didn't help with the old birds but i was hoping for better results with the young birds. the problem is that i can't seem to get the best from my birds no matter what i try. over the years i have tried many different things but most have had little effect to my birds results. i know it cant be the birds that are at fault but i can't understand where i am going wrong. my birds are out everyday twice wheather permitted and trained to around 25 miles to which i keep them around 2 to 3 times a week.the birds are also on the best corn and i use tonic and vitimans in the water also i use orego stim twice a week as well as giving them matrix. i have stuck it out for too long realy just being behind and i want to change this because im worried that my kids might start to lose interest. they are only 8 and 9 and i consider kids of this age the future of the sport. so if anyone out there can help us in any way we would be very greatful.

  14. you see at least your bird will be safe with us and you can be 100% sure it wont be delivered by a non flyer
  15. I have decided to take upon my self to try and sort out some the increasing problem of pigeon losse. i am offering a service that will help you get your stray birds back home again. The areas that we cover is around central England and into the north and into parts of wales. i will look to work with other people who do a simular service in different area to get birds back to owners further a field. we also have a holding loft for the birds that cant be returned straight away. The way it works is that we wait until we have 2 or 3 birds in the same area and pick them all up at the same time. the way the holding loft works is we collect srays from local lofts and deliver then when we have enough to go to a certain area. As i have already said we are pigeon flyers ourselves who will look after your birds in the best way until we can safely return it to your loft. any further details please dont hesitate to call us on 01629 825828 or 07810 148641. I am aware of people who have tried to rip people off with different services and trying to sell things but i can asure you that we are genuine and dont ask for a penny until the bird has been safley returned to it rightful owner.
