surely the arugment to the reply would be this if the song bird population was in such good numbers 1 why is there any red list ????? 2 why are these bops out of the countryside and natural habitat to hunt ????? the answer is there aint enough food to feed them all as there number far exceeded what nature can produce to feed them and if so healthy a song bird population we have then why do these idiots feed bops in the winter ??????

just feeding them more water than food to fill them up , i give them protein powder in water with yoghurt , and you can also increase the pulses in the diet

havent seen any great numbers of song birds for well over 4 years , cant rember seeing a blue tit for even longer , nor wren , mistletoe thrush , or finches , we feed the birds regulary one bad winter isnt enough to cover up such great losses in one year

grrrrrr overcast hardly any wind but raining was hoping to get birds out and weather in fer week by looks of things darent let them out in rain as easier targets for bops > > > > >

could be many factors for chicks dying on nest , without getting the full picture hard to get anything concrete , heres a few questions , when were chicks alive last ?, when did you see them dead ?, have you checked for red mite in the nest ? are you using any artifical lighting ?

aye usualy two pied wfs paired together will breed these the more white on them the more likely to breed this style of bird

hell of a grip had to prise the dam thing off goldfish werent too happy but never struggled or out till put back in uninjuired , and much happier , think next year ill be relocating a few to a bigger pond

its not that big realy about 7 ft x 4ft , never had so many frogs as this year

they only look like breeding boxes and are not secure from preditors such as dogs / cats they need to be enclosed in a shelter such as an avairy type with roof to keep the rain out

be better with an avairy type loft where hes located due to heat / sun

looks more like an oven no ventilation :-/

im sure if you rang them up they'll be very accomadating easy to join a club and get all done at same time , but can join and get rings at same time got my rings other year next day when paid over phone
