Hi there, I am wondering if anyone can help me. I have tried (to no avail) to report a racing pigeon that I found a few days ago, and cannot get through to anyone. I have been given 5 different phone numbers, and all are no longer active lines, and all the email addresses off the NPA site do not work!
I found a racing pigeon huddled under a bush a few days ago. He is now sat in my spare bedroom walking about like he owns the place! He is healthy- apart from the fact he can NOT fly. It appears he has lost most, if not all of his flight feathers.
His ID ring says : NPA 99 B0575.
I understand this means he is registered with the National Pigeon Association, hatched in 99? But am unsure where the area code locates him to.
If any one can give me any advice, I would be so very greatful. Can I also ask, what will happen to him if his owner is traced. In your own opinions, if one of your birds was found not able to fly, what would you want to be done with it?
Regards, Sarah Giles
