  1. thanks steph, i'll give this a try.
  2. Has anyone ever heard of a breed of pigeon called "TEMESCHBURG"? Temeschburg is German for the Romanian town of "TIMISOARA". I am thinking this is a German bred using birds from that area. You know what the Germans are like - they invent a new breed every other week! I'd be grateful if anyone can shed any light about these birds. For a couple of photos go to - Cheers for now.
  3. I think you might be right about this bird being a ribbontail or startail tumbler. There is such a bird as a syrian sabuni - according to "Levi" it is a performing tumbler, and only comes in cream barred colouration. It is feather footed and is a new breed in America(1954). Is this any help?
  4. Any chance you sending me a copy of the schedule of classes for the show, or is it available on line and at what site? Cheers
  5. Sorry to tell all you guys on this thread, but there's no such bird. It's a SYRIAN SABUNI or SUBUNI, originating in the Middle East. It's a performing tumbler.
  6. I take it that you mean my flickr page. If you click on the photo, it opens to large scale with the breed name at the top and any comments at the foot. Try it. Cheers
  7. If I get plenty of pics, I would like to show all the colour combos, but given the number of breeds(I'm up to 900 so far), I think I'll need a terrabyte of web space. It's a bit of a daunting task, but if the fancy community help, it makes it a lot easier.
  8. Glad you liked them. I see you are a Gers fan(I assume), where are you? Glasgow?
  9. Hi to all members. I'm a newbie(to the forum not to pigeons), and wondered if my latest project appeals to any of you, in which case I would be grateful for any help. I am attempting to establish an encyclopedia of fancy pigeons on the internet, hopefully having something up and running by Feb/Mar 2007. I am looking for good quality photos of as many breeds as poss., but mainly foreign and rare breeds. I've started a couple of groups on "flickr" (check this out: ). These are the standard of pics I am looking for(most of these are by me) - sometimes with a little help from "photoshop". If anyone is interested in helping I'd be only too happy to accept.
