  1. I understand what you are trying to do, but in reality what can you do if someone does con a members, strike them off ? Do you honestly think that anyone dodgy will give a flying ****. Lets get real you get people selling crap at auctions, from there lofts, subscription periodicals and even at shows. As I have said before it is a case of buyer beware and if people have been stupid enough to send money for birds on a strangers promise well thats there problem - they should of arranged to meet the seller, view the birds and then buy or not buy. Genuine fanciers should not be tarred with the same brush or have to jump through loops to validate themselves. Unfortunately some people think that because you may share a passion with someone else there is a degree of trust - GET REAL & STOP BEING GULLIBLE.
  2. This is all becoming a bit of a joke !!!! How does someone appove you as a pigeon seller ? Why havn't all members been made aware of this in a mailshot ? Unfortunately the hobby/interest is in decline because of the amount of b***ocks people come out with. People spouting off about how much they know or messers messing you around because they have not got anthing else in there lives.
  3. It is quite disturbing reading when people start ganging up on people selling birds, I have noticed it more with the fancy/flying breeds than those people selling so called racing pigeons. You get dealers in everything has anyone brought a car from a car dealer? As I mentioned before buying any animals it is a case of `buyer beware'. Unfortunately there are unscrupulous people selling things in all walks of life. Prospective purchasers clue your self up and ask the right questions - do your best to view/handle before you buy or take someone experienced with you if you are a beginner. Do not just amtrak on someones word !! What I would look for :- Nice perky disposition. No lumps or bumps No discharge from the eyes or nostrils. Have a look down its throat, nice and pink? no mucas or inflammations. A sheen on the feathers (wear a dark top and and hold the bird against it, you should have a white dust (bloom) which settles on the fabric. Open the wings and let them snap shut, feeling for tightness in the elbow joint. If it is a flying/performing breed see it fly/perform. Look at the conditions in which it is kept. With the fancy show breeds no-one is going to sell you their best !! try and get some relatives of the finest birds and then work at it ! Rome was not built in a day.
  4. What family of racing pigeons ? sprint / distance !! Why not have something a bit different - why not try something like Iranian Tumblers (Fly high and tumble) or Doneks (plate spin/dive to earth at the site of a dropper or signal). Mind you some of these birds are not at there best in kit boxes !!!
  5. Thanks - not for my neighbours - I like a mixed kit (not a purist) but it is difficult to find the breeds with flying styles that compliment and do not have negative impacts on each other. What do you keep ?
  6. Thanks - I know the silver as a yasne crested & muffed - versions I believe of the sebrinak ! The saddles in blue are chemneys, in red kashtans, in black muzyn. Do not be mistaken by their looks they are all flyers.
  7. Some flying sebrinaks and orliks
  8. Thanks gangster - will try to remember that. Attached photo of some stock cocks various.
  9. Having a look at the pictures doesn't cost you anything !!!!!!!!!!! If you are interested you could (like other people) call briefly and ask for a tel. number or an email address - Normal rates. I was going to advertise the birds on this site but due to the amount of grief and people jumping on the band wagon last time I thought f*** it ! For the record the birds for sale are magpie sebrinaks (cocks only), Pr. chequer pearl sebrinaks , Pr. Kashtans - red magpied pigeons with muffs, Pr. Blawinder - yellow barred short faced with muffs similar to Berliners, Cock Long Faced Bearded Tumbler, Iranian tumblers (only 1 cock left).
  10. Selling some different types of pigeon on birdtrader.co.uk, have a look.
  11. Are you sure it is a fantail with a ring number like that. I have polish pigeons and would be happy to give it a home - do you have a picture ?
  12. Thanks Tammy for the picture of the feleghazer (not spelt correctly). Just like to say that not all fancy pigeons are show pigeons !! I have breeds that will fly longer and faster and with more style than some of those so call racing pigeons or should I say homers. There are also the performing breeds that would take your breath away and are peregrine proof. Sorry to hear that the fancy & flying pigeons are not being represented.
  13. Also known as Polish Krymka.
  14. Does anyone have any pictures of the fancy birds at Blackpool?
  15. Whoops - when I said hand feed them I meant feed them by hand (from your hand) !
