hi all. does anyone have 2 spare hens? i bought what was thought to be a cock and hen, for my son. plus he was given a free bird of his own choice, which was thought to be a hen. however they turned out to be 3 cocks. i have sorted a hen for 1 of them and now need 2 hens for the others if anyone could help. i contacted the person i bought them from, to see if he had any hens left i could buy, but unfortunately he only has cocks left. cheers, anthony

i don'n think i need to worry about him losing interest. i have never seen him so interested. i purchased 3 uk masters dvd's from vallence lofts and he watches them over and over again. he is excited about having his own loft. when i finally get it for him, i will put some pic's on of him and his birds

told my son this morning. his face was a picture i will remember for a very long time. he thought he will have his own loft when he comes home from school lol. told him he will have to wait until i get a chance to get him one. he said he is looking forward to it.

i do encourage him. that's why i have bought him his own birds. just didn't expect him to want his own loft so quickly. but i suppose it's good he is taking so much interest

this is my first year with pigeons and my 6 yr old son has taken a very big interest in the birds. he has his own birds in the loft, that he feeds and cleans every day. these birds are what he has chose himself from peoples lofts, when they have been on offer. he has 2 yb's, that he has bred from his birds. i have told him he can put any yb's he breeds into races and see how they do. i moved house just over a week ago and now i have a bigger garden, he wants his own loft for his own birds. do you think he is too young to have his own loft or should i give him a try? cheers, anthony.
