Just to clarify on the costs of running this site, yes it is free for people to use, but the site is not run for free, Richard has to pay for the site in terms of the using the web space as it were and also consider the size of the site, its not just a forum there are many other aspects to the site and it doesn't pay for itself. The issue of selling birds on here is always an issue, especially in terms of who the sellers are and the amount that some birds are sold for, but I think that in the coming months Richard is going to put something in place for sellers in terms of confirming who they are etc (I'll check with him when he comes home from work)

Richard hasn't had any time this year or last year to do the fantasy race, since he's in Scotland for most of the time now, also I think he tried to set it up again last year, but couldn't get the help to run it. I'll show this thread to him and see what he says

Go into member centre, then on the left-hand side is a column of options, go to the bottom where is says modify your notifications and it should come up with a list of thread that you are watching

See if you can read the ring number on one of the bands, which consists of a few letters, year and a mix of some numbers. If you post this up, then someone might be able to help you with where the pigeon is from

Richard has been trying to help with your password dilemma, the fifer had been messaging me and Richard and we had both replied. I think alot of people have forgotten their passwords because they never sign out - which I do aswell :-/

At the top where the blue bird is you should have - Good Evening Racer then underneath that it should say You have x amount PMs Click the words PMs

Just to check - the PM box is know located to the left of the blue pigeon logo and to access PM's move your mouse over the word PMs and click - then they should all be there

Maybe try making your browser window bigger

What browser are you using? and if possible take a screen shot (instructions in my last post).

Also, if you can take a screen shot of the page - hold down the ALT key and press the PrtSc key I've attached what my screen looks like so that you can see how the layout is and there should only be adverts along the right-hand side.

With your screen problems, post up what browser your using e.g. internet explorer 7 and I'll let Richard know

I'm not going to lock the thread - its not my place to make that decision. I just wanted to make my point about the thread And a difference of opinions is fine and people generally do handle it well, but there are the few that take it out of hand etc.... Anyway, as with everything and your right any forum there is always debate but its when it starts to get personal or abusive that it needs to be controlled

This thread started out to express a point about pigeonbasics and the actions of certain members in regards to threads been taken over or it turning into an argument or some sort of back and forth between members. I think everyone realises now that this happens and I'm sure something will come into place to deal with this. But now I think this thread is turning into exactly what it said at the beginning. So people should just leave this thread now and say what they need to say, then I would recommend that it be locked before it gets out of hand with accusing people of all sorts.
