Copied from Facebook 9th June 2026 A note before the Brighton race as it’s a fed race - EVERYONE who sends must be registered with the SKB register (Scottish Kept Bird) AND have a CPH number written on your entry sheet. Without this I won’t accept pigeons into baskets. It seems a lot of red tape and administration but it’s a simple process. We won’t have time on the night to walk people through it so please if you’re sending ensure you have this detail on you. “Registering your birds on the Scottish Kept Bird Register is a legal requirement and as IT IS LAW, and outside of the control of the SNFC, we must ensure that we are not knowingly allowing members to race their pigeons without a CPH number. The club was audited last year - an audit that came well after the race date, but I will point out to you all that an audit can also come in the form of a spotcheck on a marking station and if you are accepting race entry sheets without a CPH number how do you propose to explain to them why you are not collecting attendees legally required details, violating the Animal Health Act. Organisers face severe implications including invalidating the general license (which SNFC has to apply for each year and for each marking date), large fines and potential prosecution.” Thank you

Copied from Facebook 9th June 2026 BONESS MARKING FOR SNFC BRIGHTON Basketing will be between 4pm - 7pm Please can all fanciers make sure paper work is filled out correctly and your sheet MUST have your CPH number or you may be refused entry if you don’t know it, this isn’t just a SNFC rule it’s a Government law!. Boness marking will be using Geraldy baskets again, exact same as Kettering. Unikon & Bricon will be available and any other types of ETS, the fancier is responsible for bring the appropriate equipment. Unfortunately W. Doudie isn’t fit enough now to come and set manual clocks so Billy Holland & John Hood will be able to assist on this and the times they will be available to do so will be confirmed ASAP. As stated above basketing begins at 4PM but with lack of helpers until 5-6PM we will only have 1 clock set up until more help arrives. the great "INDIGO" Last year as a baby won five times Ch Young bird in Angus and Dundee Combine, They asked would she do anything as a yearling, 3rd Combine Ackworth Moor 216 mls,850 birds,1st Combine Grantham ,270mls,2nd Open East coast Amal 2920 birds, Timed at SNFC Kettering, too fast,10 mins off the prizes,Finally 16th Combine 34th Open Amal Kettering 307mls, 1375 birds. Time for a wee rest and maybe a pair of y/bs with her Sire who also bred 1st sect 4th Open SNFC Billericay .

Dont have my little lad in the lofts, but will get him into them when I can get him a proper mask that fits.. ive never let him inside the lofts since ive had them, because he was born with a airway defect, and had to have 2 surgery's on his airway. He's ok now but wont take any risks 🕊🕊

With kind permission from Irvine's family: BUCHAN (Peterhead) Peacefully after a long illness, at Spynie Care Home, Elgin, on Thursday 4th June 2026, Irvine Buchan aged 79 years. Beloved husband of Ethel Cameron, a much-loved dad of Irvine and Susan, a dear father-in-law to Jay and Stuart, and a loving granda to Thomas, Robert, Angus and Michael. Very sadly missed. Funeral arrangements later.
