You may also have noticed the reorganisation of some of the boards.
Racing Pigeons became a Category with the subsections;
- General (this is where the posts from the old one were moved to)
- Race Day (this is for all liberations, weather, etc)
- Old Birds (topics about racing old birds)
- Young Birds (topic about racing young birds)
- Ideas & Theories (moved board from the front page)

The following top level boards have been added also; Breeding, and Introductions.

The 'Notice Board' will now serve the purpose it was implemented for;
- if you are unsure on which board to post, you can post to the Notice Board - however be aware that a moderator may move the topic to the relevant board on their first or subsequent visit (a redirect link will be left).
- all topics posted to the Notice Board will be assessed if they would be better categorised under another heading, and may be moved, but we will leave a redirect link on the Notice Board

The final change to report for now is that Chit-Chat is back.
However it is only accessible by 'Subscribing' to it. That means if you have not subscribed you will not see any of the boards or topics on the Portal or anywhere else on the site. If you have subscribed topics will be shown in the Portal and you will have full access to the boards.

You can unsubscribe at any time, and rejoin at any time (the required links are under 'Members Only').

As of now; all non-pigeon related topics posted to Notice Board (or anywhere else) will be removed from the forum. If you wish to partake in Chit-Chat, please subscribe and post such topics only to that board.

• The member will be banned from posting any reply or topic to the site (will be able to login, PM, and view topics only), and the following text added to their profile (displayed next to every post); "Banned User".
  

Bans are generally made against a specific username, but may be made against IP addresses or e-mail addresses.

Bans may be for, 1 week, 1 month, permanent; and will be set at the discretion of the administrators where any extreme factors will be considered.

Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban may lead to that ban being made permanent. • The forum rules, code of conduct, and moderation documents have been rewritten or reworded. It has been done to aid clarity; and these documents have been moved and given top priority in the forum hierarchy.
  
• The Chit-Chat board has been removed. These forums are for the discussion of pigeon and pigeon related topics only.
  
• Topics are required to stay on topic, and any superfluous posts will be removed with no additional warning. (If you wish to continue with 'banter' please download an instant messenger client such as MSN messenger and continue there).
  
• The General Pigeon Board has been renamed the 'Notice Board' and as such its use will be redefined. It may be posted to with items such as events, something of importance to fanciers, and any other postings made will be moved to a board fitting their subject matter, with links being left.

A staff member's decision is always final, and we do not permit the discussion of a decision (whether related to an edited/deleted post or a banned member) in posts, avatars, signatures or in any part of your profile, however, if a considerable suggestion is made by Private Message or by use of the 'Contact Us' page, the forum staff may look at it, and possibly take the comment on board
  
• In the event of a topic or post(s) being removed by a moderator these posts will have been moved to a private board where the webmaster will decide the action to take. Action may be:
  
  • reinstate the posts back to their original topic

Before creating a new topic thread, search to see if a similar topic already exists.

Post any new topics in the correct section.

Stay on-topic.

Avoid double posting.

Avoid the use of strong or inappropriate language.

Avoid the use of all CAPITAL LETTERS in posts. (All CAPS is considered "shouting" and causes readability issues.)

Refrain from lashing back at a poorly behaving member or participating in a flame war; instead, notify the webmaster or one of the moderators of the event.
