glad you got them back,just a thought were the birds feet of the bird that wasnt yours in the same condition as the others as this would point to all the birds being kept in the same loft.

electric fence is the answer a single wire above youre fence or on top of shed only switch on when birds are out or when kids have gone to bed it works, had loads of probs myself befor i got it.

take the hen out put her in a basket for a couple of days,so the cock can settle in the section on his own, then put her back if it is a cock you should see the diffrence,hope this is of help.
