  1. Theres plenty about that do the business and are great to see but like anything out there there guys selling rollers as rollers and they not. When mine have taken to the sky on odd time they roll nice just wish i could have them up all the time
  2. I have a breeding pair that roll and have produced good rollers for me that dont roll too deep.Your not to far away from the truth as ive bought some rite crap that dont roll there all half bred. ive got 2 Ybs at the min im training and 2 in the nest.hoping these will be ok. The thing is id be happy with birds that just fly i just like to see my pigeons in the air but that dosent happen. Ive takken all the advice i read as much as i can still with no luck
  3. i leave them out for a hour to see if they want to make the effort but they dont
  4. i feed at 6pm will let them out the next day around 5pm they come out and do one lap then on the roofs
  5. Well im now 12 month into owning roller pigeons and can say ive had zero joy from these birds ive bred some and had more issues Main issue here they will not fly tried all feeding amounts methods you name it. The one that do fly fly away for 12hrs and come back when they want Im at a lost cause here with these birds ive 2 sheds full and cant do anything with them complete waste of time money and effort there all trap trained come to the can eeverything but i can not stand in my garden and weatch them like your supposed to all they do is p*ss about on roofs or on the floor absolute headache say no more. Anyone else out there have this issue
  6. I had one of these in the loft was a nice bird never flew tho found him dead few weeks ago
  7. Same here mate 1st order i had with these one of my nest bowls was broke then second order had nothing but hassle for some corn i had ordered took weeks to turn up. I now use BJF feeds now spot on and good gear other bits i need theres a local lad near me in Leeds sells loft bit and bats
  8. Ok im getting there with it now thanks for all your info people means a lot cheers
  9. all a bit of a mind boggle this lol. does anyone on here not bother with YB races? and just race old birds? i just cant see how you end up keeping the team small if your always doing YB racing every season are you losing birds all the time or culling non stop? you must be ending up with tons of pigeons?
  10. i had a read of this its a good read My link now lets just say i have to make do with the space i have so i have to run my loft the same way as Ron Samford how do i keep the loft to a min of birds year round do i have to pull eggs etc?sorry for all these daft questions lol.... its says he kept 7 Ybs at a time and raced natural so how do you keep up on keeping the lof that way? Cheers
  11. Tony i reckon it will be around 10x6 maybe 12x6 at a push mate.
  12. I havent got a loft for racing yet just a small one for roller pigeons im looking for one or going to build one
  13. Lets just say a did natural system small loft dont want it overcrowded what do i do pull eggs? do you keep YB in there as well
  14. why do u need 3 sections tho? Everyone i speak to say natural is sh**? And you end up with tons of pigeons even with 3 sections if you had YB in there they would be mixed wouldnt they
