  1. Tam I gave them up last year after over 40 years in the game. For me it was best thing iv done.got my life back nae stress or worries.Just not worth it.All the best whatever you do.
  2. Derek you are so right I been shot down over resent times. Being seen as over reacting and let the ones who love the sport enjoy there doo,s.MURDER AND DOUBLE STANDARDS DO INDEED SPRING TO MIND. As I have said before the total lack of direction from the top in not real. If we don't stop, and turn the way in which we do things upside down, it will, or could be done in our lifetime. Disgusting love there birds don't make me laugh.Am well out of it,will always keep pigeons but not for racing, and that is sad after50 add years. Good luck
  3. Su-15-m-1639 found Dead in Milngavie
  4. copy from a few days ago near home 1st training toss with y/birds today, total disaster, liberated 22 bird at 6.30am 5 miles from loft, just got in from work to find 1 bird in loft Been saying this a long time now ,there is something wrong very Wrong with the birds ability to come home.do not wish to take away anything from those that a successful in our once great sport but to continue till there is none left to come home, and no pigeon men left is also so wrong. If we do not stop and think we are had it big time. In the meantime ill keep my bird round the back, in the hope someone somewhere comes up with some answers, have kept pigeons here for at least 45 years out of the last 50 but am done. Good luck and sorry for the rant.
  5. this is a new low for S Sorry Scottish football but no real surprise
  6. Great stuff Andrew well pleased for you ,and all the best in the future mate.
  7. Human decisions, and the fact that they can not agree on anything is having a real adverse effect on the demise of our one great sport. it is surely accelerating the end. A good club member sums it all up best when he says "Its just not fun anymore"Said it and heard it all before but it needs a change from top to bottom even if its to last a further 10 years this change has be required and ignored by whole generation of Pigeon men.Could someone publish numbers of pigeons and loft concerned say 20/30 years ago. this should be done by those at the top.but guess what they cant agree on anything either so it stays the same. I am in the process of giving them up for the second time in 10 years. Ill keep a few doos round the back. I do this in the hope that things may change.
  8. Taking nothing from you in ur fed but u have got safety in numbers that we do not, not everything but helps, next couple races as u say are dodggy good luck
  9. Some guys talk to, same as me heavy losses but having read the above, this does not seem to be the case across the board.am no talking about the odd pigeon here started at second race, sent 20 got 8,sent 16 got 5, sent 16 got 7. iv kept the doos since secondary School, and never known anything like it.Back to the drawing board again and there in lies the problem, the inability to build a team.
  10. ok let me know if u need help think I could get it to Cumbernauld by teatime Friday if its any good ?
  11. Your right there Andrew locally not enough shorter races to give birds experience, I do think a mid week club in our area would be well supported.
