Have tried that Pat and no good

As Paul (showman) has already said Steve looks like you have left it too late, if the last time you were checking was Friday when the ring was slipping off it would have been better trying again Saturday or Sunday. One day makes a big difference when ringing Ybs.

have done one a few weeks old at an old fanciers loft with "preparation H" (from his cupboard not mine :emoticon-0136-giggle: ) it worked . but blimey it took around 15 -20 minutes and having to re-apply and wait .it apparently reduces swelling , good luck . oh and maybe try the opposite leg to normal ?

Apply neat Fairy Liquid to leg and foot then slip ring on as far as it will go.. Two pieces of Paper Towel for grip, One to hold the ring and the other to grip the toes then pull, The paper stops your fingers slipping on the Fairy Liquid, Now using a Bookies Pen slip the Ball point of the pen under the back toe and it will pop out.. Done it that way with umpteen youngsters up to 10 days old.
