Did Jock Allan not breed the pigeon that was 2nd section to "Waterside Peggy" in the SNFC Gold Cup race from Liege ?

Ye know yer stuff Brian, he bred Jim O'Haras ch cock, ( named Jock ) that was 2nd West section. His pigeons are still scoring today and along with being a top racer, he was also a top breeder. As good as Dundees own legend, Jock Ellis, in my opinion.

The home of one of Scotlands great wee world boxing champs called Pat Clinton

Pat CLinton used to stay with my cousin, she was about 6 inches taller than him lol. Great wee boxer, many good boxers and doomen were fae Croy.

Still got a 15 yo hen in the loft from Jock Allen hen x the Stirling cock. Both pigeons were the property of Jock & Isobel Alston who need no introduction.

The above fanciers bred many winners down through these pigeons and many owe their success to them.

My 15yo hen above is dam and g dam to winners for me and others and despite her age she will be given a chance to breed this year with a young cock.

As a 14 yo last year she laid no problem.

However I had an accident with the only yb from the first round sods law.

Off the top of my head I never got another one til around August. A wee hen am not to keen on but we will see how it goes.

Try her with a different ylg cock this year.

My time in from Falaise 53rd Open last year is a g daughter of her. Sire of the Falaise hen scored a few times best being 31st Open SNRPC Arras the dam was 49th Open in the same race.

In my last race before moving house in the summer of 2016 I managed to win a good steady race in a N East wind from Leicester 260 mls with a cock same way bred as the 53rd Open Falaise hen.

A few other children and g children from the "Alston hen"as I call her

have also scored from Arras, Billericay, W /Flats in club fed and National level plus the other club races at club/fed level.

Just wish I could have had a few more from the old Alston hen as I never got her til she was around 10yo !
