Think the birdage is a reflection on the last few torturous weeks of national racing.

1100 last year after a really difficult season birdage for me is irrelevant as you are competing against the best sent to a particular race from the fanciers capable, many you away

Very True what you consider your best for that particular race must go
Average pigeons don't win these races

Will be interesting to see when the expert race controllers on here think we will get a race. Tomorrow looks dodgy and Saturday and Sunday no chance

Just a weeeeee bit of advice for the race control team that's been absent from there minds for at least the last 48 years there's 600+ milers in the convoy , and as rule book has always said if weather permits
birds to be libed as early as possible , I've been sending birds ta most nationals since 1969 , and unbelievable this has never been add eared ta , the last yepres race EVERY WEATHER FORCAST SAID WEATHER CLOSING IN AT THE FAR NORTH OF SCOTLAND , on Friday 6 ta 7 pm on Friday night so why hold birds till 6 .40 am before lib but this has been happening every race, which supposed ta be a Scottish National , not a half way stop for the shortest flying members , grow up and cater for all the birds in the race if weather is right let them go as early as possible give the birds the benifit which has been sadly missing for far to long with the SNFC ?

Yup friday does look a bit dodgy, saturday no chance, sunday no good for the Northern half . Could be Monday if not up on Friday. Gotta say though who would be a race controller.

It's at least a 2 day race and possibly (going by this years shambolic racing) 3 days for the guys in the far North. So ye need at least 2 days good racing weather before they are libbed but this doesn't seem to concern the committee who have stood back and watched doos getting libbed knowing there was only 1 days decent weather and not a word said about it tae the controllers.
A seen someone post there was gonna be a committee meeting/inquiry after Alencon, did it take place? What was the outcome if it did?

Just checked the long range forecast. Looks like the second week of August we might get a race. Who would be a race controller

Just watched the weather on BBC and Sky , for Friday the weather looks as good as you will get after the thunder and lightning the air is far fresher, and a helping wind across the channel, channel looks good , the only thing let the birds get going early ta give them the benifit of the weather when it is favourable, not hold them till the weather closes in , as what's been happening ,as the saying goes early birds catches the worm , all we want is get them as far up the road in the favourable weather , before the closing stages of the race , so the doos has not ta swim hame , weather permitting get them in the sky common sense is all we want , if this can't be done sorry time ta give it up as the weather has changed and the SNFC has ta change and must take the advantage of the window were given for the good of all birds . Good luck ta all there brave birds ?
