Dear all, can you tell me if a vaccine or medicine has been developed for young bird sickness in the UK ?. In Australia we have Rota virus, the symptoms seem much the same, at present the Vets are trying to develop a vaccine to prevent the pigeons catching the virus, are they wasting their time ?.

Thanks Oz

It was touted a few years back that a vaccine for chickens to combat EDS* helped. Am sure Vets in Belgium combined a PMV/EDS vaccine. Maybe you should ask on the PIPA site as this is geared more for the continental fancy.

*EDS= Egg Drop Syndrome.
