Just got a new wicker basket from Amazon came from Germany ,14 bird Basket £47.99 Carraige £4.99 ,I was going to be charged any thing from £13 to £16.95 for carraige from England ,better together Scotland & England my a--e.

What i mean is we are even now paying a levy for goods from our neighbour that supposedly have our intrests at heart .

Only having a laugh mate,some worse than others I bought 3 pads from

Unikon somewhere in the region off £390 and they had the cheek to charge me £12 postage on top

I know yer better of a stir but it does annoy me they treat Aberdeenshire as though its in the Highlands ,they advertise £3.95 postage then tell ye yer an AB code so thats Highlands numptys !!

couriors cant do it for free

 

something the size of a basket and roughly 400 miles

£13 to £17 is cheap

It shouldn't matter if you have an AB or IV postcode. Do you think it is acceptable that the Highlands get ripped off but not acceptable in Aberdeenshire is that what you are inferring?

whats the quality of the basket would you recommend it what the address of supplier you bought it from ..?

E-wicker24 was the seller ordered through Amazon took less than a week delivery time ,looks ok but time will tell of hardyness the overall deal impressed me.

I agree but on the other hand we have become a spoiled population most of our multiple choices of food stuff is imported ,the last basket i bought was british it was £45 cant remember carraige but it doesnt have a patch on this one i have boought.

I agree but on the other hand we have become a spoiled population most of our multiple choices of food stuff is imported ,the last basket i bought was british it was £45 cant remember carraige but it doesnt have a patch on this one i have boought.

you must understand the price of fuel transport costs labour etc tae get that basket tae you the men fae yester years would have made the basket have you lost the skills up north then ? :emoticon-0136-giggle:

I thought I would take a look at your basket purchase and to be perfectly honest the price reflected the quality of the product "cheap and nasty". One only gets what one pays for.

I have a Loxley 10 bird = over 50 years old. 2 Shepherd 16 bird = over 30 years old and will never have to buy a basket again as they are still in good nick.
