paddymac Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 I put my Ybs on the darkness from the word go but I didn't wean them over until they were about 20-30 days old. I opened up the loft at 8:30 each morning and darkened it down again at 4:30pm in the afternoon. I kept them on this system until around 20th June and was able to fly the full programme with a select few.
dal2 Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 Put them on when they perch....give them a min amount of weeks at your discretion then get then off by longest day
greenlands Posted January 23, 2016 Report Posted January 23, 2016 Might something of interest in the link.Like Steve mine go on darkness once they are all perching but I take mine off sooner, usually the end of May. Gave up with the link mate, type darkness in the search box,top right.
