Hi guys, just a quick line to say hi. My grandfather used to keep pigeons in Kent when I was young, sadly he passed away before I became old enough to take any real interest. But I do remember grandmother constantly complaining he was never at home, "hes with those dammed birds again", my cue to go rushing down to the local allotment and find him at his loft, apparently always waiting for a bird to return home. (do they still allow pigeon lofts on allotments in the south)

I have an interest to race but at the moment I want to find out more information and the lack of ground area to have a loft at the moment slows me up, is there anyone in Essex that I could meet up with to find out more. Im at Clacton-on-sea but travel daily to central London for work

Many thanks

Darren

Hi Darren,

Some people still have lofts in allotments but most people have them actually in their garden.

The problem with allotments is it is open to vandalism or theft etc.

Do you have room in your garden to put a loft up?

Unfortunately no as I have just brought a new flat :emoticon-0138-thinking:
