St Finnan Loft
is this anything to worry about or is it a common thing with hens first egg ? im a little concerned about her she looks ok and no blood on her vent so i put it down to the cold and being her first just wanted to know if its normal or not ? Blood stains on egg shells occur most frequently with young birds,or yearlings though it can happen with any age bird, the shell is stained when small blood vessels that line the oviduct rupture when an egg passes through no worry as a healthy pigeon will heal very quickly.
