sounds good Anto , beans , peas etc when the young are rung too , all good . vitamins in the water a couple of times a week wont do any harm at all . i would skip the cider vinegar myself until after the young have been weaned. g10.s or rearers pellets or similar could also help make robust youngsters .good luck.

It's good advice Andy , although In my opinion cider vinegar is good to have in the drinker at all times during rearing, especially as the canker levels in the parents raise just before hatching and just after, it helps to keep the numbers manageable and not become an issue.

I use Osteocare liquid (Calcium)from Holland & Barrett in the water 2 times a week.

Vitamins in water 2 times a week,we also use Naturaline 2 times a week, and Garlic in the water as well.

Hope this helps!!!

They also have pink/black minerals & pick pots available as well. Also added to the corn we use Bamfords breeding pellets..

At the end of the season I let one stock pair rear a very late ,late bred

All other nests were removed except for this one bowl probably laziness on my behalf

All breeding pairs roosted happily together during the winter

The hen with the bowl laid in January as she was the only with a bowl so I just let them hatch

Clean water twice a day with a good mixture ,when the young were 10 days old the hen got one day of pink minerals

The youngsters are superb

Jmo but feel that fanciers are being brainwashed with goods on offer

Or is it just old tight pockets lol

good corn and clean water twice a day. That all they need anything else is either wasted money or effort. OMO MJB

My thoughts aswell but I do give them matrix and pick stones
