Since Vinny posed his question, we discover the nub of the problem.

I didn't find any malice in Vinnie's question, but immediately negative remarks were posted regarding the SNRPC. It is unknown to me what the history is regarding the split, albeit I was very aware on entering the hobby that it was a touchy subject.

I am hearing about letters not being sent when the membership directed that they should be sent. I am hearing about Executive decisions being taken outwith Committee with no notification to Committee. This is tantamount to dictatorship. Most dictators wish to suit their own ends and all the negativety I have heard regarding the SNFC has come from SNFC members.

Will this once great club ever return? It seems to parallel with the Rangers Football Club saga where the supporters are unhappy about the board which is seemingly destroying the club and selling all the assets whilst they are powerless to intervene.

SNFC assets - the very fact that it is the national Club. Sold over whatever reasons and now there are two "National" Clubs, neither of which are truly National now.

A Special General Meeting would allow a "clear the air" and perhaps an opportunity to progress, allowing the Club to return to its former place as the "National" Club. Remember, none of the petty legislative back-fights because someone was unhappy with a democratic decision which went against them. Sort it now, sort it correctly, sort it once and forever.

must agree with dal 2 what is much more concerning to me is the fact that this is looking more and more like a deliberate attempt to ruin an innocent mans reputation which i fined totally shocking

I've not said anything bad about the SNFC and a member of both clubs.this is a forum so debate is what it's founded on or are we only allowed to asked questions that you deem suitable.

It's not about what I deem suitable it's about this being a post about SNFC but you always have to include anything to mention SNRPC when it has nothing to do with the post

I gather with that statement you have all the answers, or you just want to listen to one side of the story so a meeting will be of no importance as your mind is already made up?

How many others are the same way minded I wonder?

As hard as this might be for you to believe I genuinely have no preference as to which club I compete with,I went to 2 races in the SNFC and 1 in the SNRPC in 2014.and i was not the first to post regarding the SNRPC ,as part of this therd the issue regarding joint convoying is in the content and I have made no comment regarding this issue.Somtimes there can be posts that just contribute to discussion rather than being a direct attack on any giving organisation

Naedoos ur entitled to your opinion and if that's ur opinion then ok fine.

But as you don't seem the least bit concerned you wont need to attend an EGM now will you.

Just stay at home and peel the totties! :)

Leave it to people that maybe are concerned and would

like some clarification to get things back to normality!

Your negative remarks to people who are only wanting some answers really beggars belief.

Firstly, I use Smash, you really should try it, it may suit you.

Secondly, never missed an AGM so you can be rest assured there's no much chance o me missin an EGM, can you say the same I wonder?

Seems to me reading this saga that there are members of the SNFC who have no appetite for the truth. Sadly for the sport this sorry state of affairs might never be sorted out and the innevitable outcome will be no more SNFC in the not too distant future. Some people ( u know who you are ) need to remove the blindfold they are wearing and seek the truth for once instead of getting lead by the nose into supporting those not worthy of support just because someone lives around you.

Naedoos rangers and jade are particularly shallow.

Lol so you have a sense of humour eh! The thread is not humorous though naedoos.

Your right about one thing though naedoos there is two sides to this story as you made reference to in a previous post. That's why many proper pigeon fanciers want to hear both sides of the debate.

Granted I like the vast majority of the membership wasn't at the agm, would have helped if we had been though. The majority don't know whats happening, I think thev,e given up hope. Fed up with being kept in the dark with one thing after another!

The vast majority were buzy looking after their pigeons thinking that everything might just be alright so no need to attend the meeting. How wrong we were.

Im sure most fanciers want to spend their time with their pigeons and not time at meetings discussing politics and so on about certain things that shouldn't happen throughout the season. However if their not cleared up it just festers on and on and you can see now whats happening. Time to get it sorted whether you like it or not.

Not picking on you, but this is the reason why these things happen. If you are correct, the vast majority were not there. This means the minority rule and govern the club. From that minority, it seems the majority have supported fanciers who have let the membership down.

If that is the case, this meeting is needed to clear the air and sort the problem.

This apathy is affecting every club and every federation from what I can gather. No detriment to those that do attend, at least they give their time to run the organisations. :)

Have to agree walter, this EGM needs to called. As an outsider looking in this needs to be sorted ASAP for the sake of everyone involved with the SNFC being they commitee or racing members. These concerns needs addressed :emoticon-0138-thinking:

You are entitled to your opinion like everyone else but I can assure you that I am certainly not "shallow". I have been of the opinion for a few years now that the running of the SNFC was in need of a good "shake up". The past president unfortunately was weak and could not handle a meeting although he was given very little respect by some members in particular the 2013 meeting which was a disgrace. The "election" of the committee has long been a farce with names being shouted from the floor until enough accept the position. I am sure there are members who would be glad to serve on the committee but due to work commitments cannot undertake to run marking/clock stations or run around verifying winning pigeons etc and therefore decline nomination. If things are as reported why has the committee not sorted it out. They were put there by the members so I suppose it is the members who are to blame for the situation. The vast majority of members have never been to an AGM and wont attend an EGM as frankly all they want to do is fly their pigeons and they don't really care about the politics. There are mechanisms in place for this to be sorted out but in my opinion an EGM would cause more unrest and would no doubt turn into a slanging match

Members are not Mushrooms which are to be kept in the dark and fed kite.

Unfortunately the majority of members are not on here so they are in the dark. The mechanism is committee run the SNFC and deal with complaints with right of appeal to SHU. I don't make the rules just pointing them out.

Jade unfortunately most of them don't turn up to meetings either :(

Exactly and it is true of clubs and federations across the country. The same few do all the work and get criticised to the extent they eventually give up. Apathy rules

Yes but there is no outcome forthcoming from these meetings to the members in general thats the problem so no way off knowing if it has been dealt with appropriatly . If an EGM is called then no one will be in the dark as there will be a letter sent to every member with the agenda on it . Its ok saying leave things to the committee but committees should put out a report of what went on and the outcome of any issue refered to it .
