Got this photo from Jim Robertson (Dyce Lad) Hope I get his right I'll give it a try ?.Andy Smith, Jock Elphinestone,
Bertie Petrie,EwenRobertson(Jims Grandfather),EricFarr,SamSammons.Bob Hadden Charlie ironside..
Pigeon loft at top left was Dod Smiths.But you'll remember al them Ian thought I saw you peeking oot behind the loft. :emoticon-0136-giggle: :emoticon-0136-giggle: :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Alex I was not in doos (13)at this time I only remember Froghall plots because I was very interested in Greyhounds at the time and an old boy Used to take me out with them and he kept them in this allotments

Remember Joppy telling about the time they were all playing cards and the doos were up they were in somebody's loft when he said hold it went into a section came back and said that's me in boys well the cards and the money went flying as everyone scrambled to get out the door

Yes m8 ur right beans maize and maples if you could get it . Remember when maize ship docked in Aberdeen,fanciers went down and filled sacks off the docks and ur birds always looked great on it makes you think about the money fanciers pay these days. :drinking-coffee-200:

I remember Nom Massie showing me the maize and it was very dusty he riddled it then said come see this he had riddled it in his corn store and gave the birds the "good" maize then he opened the door and the birds went through and pecked at the riddled rubbish !!! Speechless!!

yes beans from the farms, and breed 12 youngsters for yearlings and still have most of them after young bird racing,

Brill photo, I remember going there as a boy and buying a pair of tumblers off someone who kept tumblers on that plots, 2 and sixpence each :emoticon-0136-giggle:

Ernie Barrie had tumblers and bred dogs as well if a tumbler returned to Ernie he would say its not there and would sell you another one crafty old bigger but best days bag of maize Fae harbour for nothing
