pauflyer Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 If they made transfers, distances etc etc free then you could understand it but why should members pay more so they can have a pay rise and some more jolleys! the £1transfer fee was put in place to cover cost of new computor systems but was never stopped why because noone questioned it after they were fitted ???

kirky Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 it said in bhw that the increase was going to local regions but did not say why.
pauflyer Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 as in every walk of life the boss.s will do what they want regardless of complaints the rpra is no diffrent look at balance in bank and ask why its not used to keep cost.s down???
Guest spin cycle Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 the £1transfer fee was put in place to cover cost of new computor systems but was never stopped why because noone questioned it after they were fitted ??? thing about free transfers is that those of us that buy/sell very rarely subsidise those that do....so IMO transfer charges should stay (even increased)...and probably increase ring prices to.
pauflyer Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 if youer going to increase prices reduce staff reduce costs or you are back to square one in short time

Guest Owen Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Well I hope they will look after the money that we are giving them at Blackpool, and not give it away. It is obvious that as the sport is in decline, we have fewer members paying to keep things afloat. So it is either there has to be a cut back in what the RPRA can afford to do, or else, we who are left must pay. I think it is about time that the Administrators looked at the reasons why people are leaving the sport. And by that I don't mean sitting around trying to guess. Surely the common sense thing to do, would be to actually ask the leaving members why they are leaving. Then, instead of this continual guessing we might get some proper answers. There are a lot of candidates for putting Fanciers under the sort of pressure that results in them saying that they have had enough. And for every Fancier that has had enough and votes with his/her feet there must be many more on the verge of it. And those who are going to carry on, must now be convinced that the Administraters are going to use this extra money we must pay in the best possible way. They have to realise that we must feel that we are being fairly treated and that the extra money they will have at their disposal will be looked after well. I think we must see evidence that they are improving things for us. A good start would be to show us that they will represent our views on the BOP problem and not allow us to be accused of keeping flying rats and the like. At the moment the General Public knows little or nothing about our sport and even less about our birds. It is time that they did.

stantheman Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 as already stated theres going to be a lot of partnerships reverting back to a single name so only one loser thats the rpra, my forms on its way im not paying £24 when simply changing name means i only pay£8 very well thought out by the stick in muds heads in sand brigade at the rpra, the way forward is a single charge per loft not per name and the charge to include all services for free in my club at least another 2 partnerships are going to do the same so rpra is losing money not gaining

David Bills is delighted with his brand new 2009 Bmw the membership purchased for him , :o
rembrant2coo Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 Personally it should have been going up with inflation , but at £8 I don,t think its to bad really compared to the s.h.u. at a possible £15
Taylorsloft Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 i pay £26 thats for me and my son the S H U charges £13 per partner so if there is 4 in the partnership it would cost you £52 what a joke :X
BIGDAVE Posted November 24, 2009 Report Posted November 24, 2009 I wonder how much its going cost us members for the accomodation bill for blackpool for rpra and their guests this time usually thousands LAST YEAR £15,000 this year i am informed they have twenty four friends and family working on Blackpool at the reddings ,paid at a good rate of all they can eat and drink at blackpool ,as the reddings will pick up the tab ,plus spending money , :-/

Paul
stantheman Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 even though i have to pay £3.50 to transfer them i still save money and as from now i am buying rings from nwhu as a protest at the way the rpra run things maybe if we all voted with our feet it would waken them up out of the dark ages

swilcox Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 The RPRA are more interested in raising funds for charity and photo shoots!!! Also may i add the RPRA now have a lucrative One Loft Race!!! Does that not fund the extra revenue needed???? Stuart
