greenlands Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Just picked this up off another site. "hi all been told that the rpra have put there fees up from jan 1st from £4.50 to £8.00 what do you think about this and why is it so high " Any comments ?? Lindsay.
Guest lenwadebob Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Wouldn't mind paying it IF it was going to benefit the membership instead of filling the coffers of the those at HQ. There is a big issue re. BOP that needs addressing and also promoting public awareness, but I think these issues are well down the agenda.
Guest JonesyBhoy Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 I agree with that.. if they said we're putting 3.50 on to everyones fees, but all the monies will go towards saving our sport and fighting against the BOPs im sure most wouldn't mind..
just ask me Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 are accounts made public to the members :-/
Guest JonesyBhoy Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Surely all in - comings and out- goings appear on the balance sheet..??
THE FIFER Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 are accounts made public to the members :-/ think a ballance sheet is published in the BHW
johno Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 a full set of accounts are published every year in the bhw.
Guest bakes Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 i would pay more as long as the other part goes to promote the sport ie getting youngsters involved or going to controll pob problems all the best k.baker
Guest bigda Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 bill dont want to do without 3 hoilidays a year remember he was in the mod
pauflyer Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 i beleave the balance sheet put out every year is not true statement of accounts the depreciation stated is grossly exagerated the ?true cost of meetings does not cover hotel bills or traveling rental for selby house is understated the one loft race when visited the cost is paid by members ie fuel yet only near the redding or rather not far to much hidden for my likeing and as for young fanciers fund was that not stopped by last pres :-/ :-/ :-/

pjc Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 I already know of Mr & Mrs partnerships that have dropped the Mrs as partnerships fees will be upped to £16!
Guest mick bowler Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 Its not expensive, but it does depend what you get for your money does'nt it, but at the end of the day that is up to each and every member!
pjc Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 If they made transfers, distances etc etc free then you could understand it but why should members pay more so they can have a pay rise and some more jolleys!
Guest IB Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 i think we pay 14.50 shu and it will be going up to 15 this year and the fed will be looking to put it fees up aswell at the agm on saturday Currently £12.50 + 50p medical research. Proposal is £13 + 50p medical research.
Guest casbri Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 fees was in homing world i myself think it is to dear they will lose members next year with putting fees up to £8 per member ie..4 in partnership fees would be £32..........
Guest devonred Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 we have 4 flying members in out atm = £18 changing to 2 = £16 only one loser in my eyes :-/ :-/ :-/
JADE Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 in bhw last week the report on the rpra meeting. predicted loss of £50000 for last year. but they are paying £25 per head for staff xmas party.
Guest spin cycle Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 I already know of Mr & Mrs partnerships that have dropped the Mrs as partnerships fees will be upped to £16! yes i agree that is harsh (particularly for pensioners). overall, i think, £8 isn't bad value..but perhaps the money needs spending a little better. i think the bhw advertising revenues have been hit by (ironically) web sales of pigeons. i also think david bills hasn't done a bad job for his first year JMO
stan p Posted November 23, 2009 Report Posted November 23, 2009 arnt the unions not going up to ten pounds in 2011 wos it not in b h w when they said it was going up to 8 this year 50 pence is dear when trying to fill a hole that can not be filled untill they cut back
