BIGPETE Posted July 3, 2014 Report Posted July 3, 2014 Does anybody race celibacy? Not paired up and just racing to the perch etc? I know to win it's all about motivating the birds to the maximum, but with widowhood it seems they can be over motivated (especially the yearlings) and do crazy things which could see more lost throughout the season. Also with natural racing (paired up, eggs, yb's etc) it seems you have to be careful about when to send, eg not when they are about to lay (hens) and can also only send the cock or the hen (not both) generally... So as a new starter, looking to compete and race but more interested in getting them home and establishing a team then winning and setting the world on fire. Is celibacy/racing to the perch a good option?
