Delboy
Stuart, I think you take it to heart if folk get a bad race and ye start losing the heed a wee bit.You are doing your best as race controller and whatever happens after the birds are released is really not down to you, unless of course bad weather conditions are forecast. Basically, with BOP numbers now, the convoy is in the hands of the Gods.If you know you tried your best then nobody can ever question your judgement or they can form an orderly queue for the job at the next AGM lol. hotrod
Just to clarify it was my decision to send. Not s, Lanark as I though we would get a race which we did ,absolutely 100% not one line of flight contact mentioned bad weather every one said a good racing day with excellent. Visibility . Apart from one guy saying it was full cloud cover enroute , would this stop racing pigeons ? Don't think so , and to geo .lanarkshire was the only west coast fed not to send , all other Feds were racing up the east coast where any bad weather was that is why they delayed and if we were racing that route then yes we would have delayed too. walterboswell59
i dont know where people are getting this it was ok in the west stuff the bbc showed the same for cast from wed heavy rain at the race point thats why wee did not go you cant lib in pissing rain because the rest of the way is clear and to be honest i thought the guys had a better chance racing from the east as the rain was behind them in the morning but you allways get mist or fog down the east coast preventing eary libs they were just unlucky imo now days you can lib in perfect conditions and still get done it happens to us all a lot of birds should work back today in this weather and birds going over hope our fed have a good race and the others get some birds through today good luck to all

ForestForever74
Mobile phone networks have to be looked at. This must be having an effect on homing ability. There is no reason not to think it wont have a long term effect on humans over time but in the short term I think its one of the reasons our birds can no longer home in great numbers.
