which members with bop problems find are the best deterents to avoid attacks around loft by sparrowhawk and when loft flying by peregrines.your thoughts on terror eyes cd iri tape etc and by what percentage did it improve or get worse.also what colour of your pigeons seem to be singled out by peregrines and what percentage of that colour do you have in your loft.anyone living near a large batch of feral pigeons find the peregrines prefer to wait while you loft fly and pay little attention to the ferals.also if any mod or admin could set up a quick questionare i would be very greatful.i have a idea i am looking at deterent wise and will let people know what i find and it will be tested on some young birds soon but i dont have a peregrine problem near me thank god but i hope it may help people that have.

many thanks martin

i have used CD,s in the past ,have a plastic eagle owl in the garden now.cant in all honesty say either have worked ? un-less of course attacks may have been worse without ? .there is a large feral colony only a few miles away from us ,and from whay i am told ,local fanciers get hit more often .we have around a 50/50 split at home of coloured birds and white only. will be interested to see what/if anything you come up with.

none work at all after a bit, the bop will even take your birds at your feet and square up to you at times , we had a sparr hen came in the club and tried to grab a bird out of one of the members hands as he was putting the leg in to get the race rubber on wasnt frightened of nowt that one :emoticon-0138-thinking:

Please believe me on this one ,I have tried everything from sequins bali bells terror eyes and that was in 1990 trying to deter the falcon and none of them works ,A- the falcon when coming in for the kill at 100 plus miles per hour is only interested in the Kill

B - The pigeon is so sh-t scared it is not going to stay around and see if it works ,

Simples just people trying to get our hard earned cash with there crazy idea's and yes i fell for it THEN .
