They might get reported to the individual unions - but there is no way the UNC will phone individual clubs - with all those strays it would be a full time job (and Peter Howe is part time - but currently ill following an operation)

Can you imagine IF you went to all that trouble - and all you got met with is - can you get it closer to home/I'm out of work/do you want to keep it/I'm a pensioner/I can't afford to send for it/and other unmentionable things.........

After they get reported to union they might get same response from the fanciers any how , surely a Scottish fancier maybe passing through could collect there strays and the south birds could be taken on wagons going south and be liberated nearer to home without the need to contact anyone , but fanciers should do the decent thing and collect there birds :) I will be collecting Nehu and Scottish birds from fanciers around Scarborough and get them closer to home next Saturday :)

I am passing through Hartlepool and will gladly collect the south strays , if possible to collect them Saturday ( address and phone number of stray center required ) I could even take the Scottish birds to Sunderland and liberate them .

heard from a very good source that the carlisle fanciers had collected a lot of su strays a week or so ago but the lanarkshire transporter refused to take them north

No wonder the sport is sadly coming to an end , when the pigeon fanciers refuse to put strays on board the transporters , to take them closer to home after these bad liberation decisions no fault of the pigeons some i suppose flew to a stand still cant get away next day flown out ? There is a union that can make a rule that strays must be collected SORTED ?

A lot of A rings am wondering if these are altoft birds from Normanton fed , anyway will be making a list and reporting them and owners can choose wether to send for them or they'll be taken down country and liberated . Shall be visiting at least once a month to collect and repatriate stays and also bring Nehu birds up . The stray centre was well managed and was a pleasure trying to help others , besides I drive past here all the time when visiting up north ;)
