I am unable to build a team to compete. Yesterday's race for me was the final straw for the last few years i get so far then I get booted in the ... There will be some small loft's and equipment for sale near the end of the old bird's any pigeon's I have will be returned to the people who gave me them the other's I have left will be given free to anyone who would like them. I have met many good generous friend's on here and in the pigeon sport . I wish you all the very best of luck in the future Frank WelshSorry to read this Frank but no where your coming from I have contemplated it many times also but would be at ends finding something to do ,cant handle the bevvy no more and could not watch scottish football as its in a worse state than our doo's Good Luck anyway mate in whatever you decide to do ,That choice is your's alone ATB Frae Mick . Walter swanston
I am sorry to hear your decision Frank, I know how you feel but from the point of view of an elderly man I have to point out that although I have to confess to never having been an expert pigeon fancierI gain a lot of satisfaction in the day to day care of the lofts and birds and in a small way in helping with the administration of my club and federation perhaps you might care to think along these lines. All the best whatever you decide. Guest TAMMY_1
Really sorry to hear of your decision Frank but it is hard when you keep losing birds, down here we have had a couple of really bad races and Liz was wanting to stop racing but she knew I loved it so she has had a slight change of heart but if it continues like the way it is I would stop racing as we both have to agree with everything about the birds, the only exception being that I set the birds up and pick the race teams, Liz likes every bird we have, you should see the sheds behind the barn all filled with old age pensioners and cripples, she will not put a healthy bird down so luckily we have plenty room for all the birds we have but best of luck with whatever you do in future mate. Guest Gareth Rankin
Thank's for all the nice word's Instead of stopping after the old birds I have changed my mind and will finish the season with young birds then that's it for me.They will go to all the races I will give it my all for my birdsGood to hear Frank, i know with Family and work commitments that keeping doos can be quite stressful at times and also unrewarding, especially when family life is at the brunt of it.Your still hobbling / shuffling about after your hip op a couple of weeks ago, hopefully when your 100% fit and able to juggle all the things that comes to you in life, then there might be a glimmer of hope that may come to you, that keeping the doos beyond this season may just be possible. Whatever you decide i can fully understand, your kids are only young once.
