demolition man Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 Ive never realy took much notice of this but will old birds moult be triggerd? if there 1st round of eggs are taken away after ten days. and then allowed to bring up there next round full term. i know it happens the other way round.

Tony C Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 I know one or two fanciers that let them all lay out then sling the eggs and let them all go down again so they get an even hatch. How long they sit the first lot of eggs I dont know. One of these fanciers won Thurso Combine a couple of years ago which was our last and longest old bird race.
