Rooster J. Cogburn
Try and get yourself a copy of "Advanced Techniques" by Jan Aerts This is a review on the book from another site "Jan Aerts makes me feel, when I read his books, that I am actually at the loft of Jef Van Riel looking towards the Cathedral Dome in Antwerp knowing that a good pigeon on that day must come from that direction !" Its one of the best pigeon racing books I've ever read.Think it was first published in English around the mid 70s and a lot of it still rings true today.Good Read

bazza
Very underated and unfashionable imo,but they still perform ,very honest gutsy birds, and Tony s a very honest chap, worth a chat with him
showman
Tony Read is, I believe, a very astute breeder. Over the years he has maintained this family of pigeons to the highest level. I would love to see a team of them flying round to see if that 'hidden' X-factor is still in them.
