Each sale will run from Monday to Sunday night 8.59.59pm

There will be no 5 minute rule

Minimum bid increment will be £5

Where possibly I have listed when the birds are expected to be ready

 

Buyers will be responsible for collection or courier of purchases, no birds will be released until payment received

Hi Ian I live in the Lancaster area and travel to Arbroath most Monday mornings. If anybody would like me to take pigeons with me on the monday mornings I will gladly help I could meet fanciers on the way up at for example service stations. I travel on the M6 M74 and I think M73 towards Perth and then on to Dundee. I'm just trying to save the fanciers a few quid with not having to send for them. If you think this is of any use please feel free to post on the H 4 H sale. It would be best for me if the fancier selling the birds were to bring them to my home. I don't mind bringing them down from Scotland also.

Hi Ian, i will be putting in a Jan Aarden based Yb.

 

The sire will be the winner of the Lanarkshire Social Circle B/B 2010. This Blue Ck was bred by Jim Cameron of Uddingston and came very highly recommended by him. I did not get breeding details for this bird but will contact Jim for some before the competition starts.

 

 

The dam (stock) will be a Dk Ch Pd inbred G/dghtr of "Told You So", this Jan Aarden Ck won over £3,000 for me in 5 seasons racing, mostly from 361mls to 507mls. The sire of this hen (son of TYS) flew Ypres this year, returning scarred from a Percy attack next morning in lashing rain. I have high hopes for him this coming season.....Nb, my 1st W/Sec Ypres hen is a G/dghtr of Tys.

 

Both Sire and Dam of my entry handle beautifully and i'm sure they will produce nice youngsters.........Cheers, John.

The Dam of 4605 won twice from Bourges 565 miles and was paired back to her own sire to breed 4605. This cock has bred 5 x 1st from Bourges.

 

4605 is the Dam of Barkel Brothers 'Chenoise Hen' who won won twice from Chenoise 480 miles.

 

This pair have already bred me a winner in 2009 and the hen bred a winner this year paired to a different cock.

I am offering a kit of 4 ybs, a sprinter , a distance and 2 allrounders. my lofts arn't the best for early breeding but the vendor can choose to have them Jan/Feb in which case it'll be the smaller in the nest (probably hens)..or March onwards when they can have the larger nestmate (probably cock). Whoever buys them will be racing what I race. I race in a small but competitive club of 10 lofts...this year I won our scots avs,our cup for best 'Fed' performance and the higest velocity cup and yet was only fourth highest prizewinner. I also picked up 2 NRCC section cards in my first NRCC season. Basically no strains or peds but honest north road birds that I hope will suit someone on a budget

 

Got to confess my stockbirds & feeders didn't go down all at once so producing 4 at once might be tricky. ian did try to warn me of this. what i'll say is that IF i can't get 4 of a similar age/quality in one go i'll pay 20 pounds towards carriage of second pair. but please keep this in mind when bidding.
