Violations

Recommended Posts

For most rule breaches, the global moderators will issue members with a warning. If it is then apparent that the member has repeatedly broken a rule or is consistently behaving in a poor manor, the following may be applied.

  • First Warning. The member will receive a personal message regarding their conduct.
  • Second Warning. The member will be notified once again, and the following text added to their profile (displayed next to every post); "User Warning".
  • The member will be banned from posting any reply or topic to the site (will be able to login, PM, and view topics only), and the following text added to their profile (displayed next to every post); "Banned User".

Bans will only be issued by administrators.

Bans are generally made against a specific username, but may be made against IP addresses or e-mail addresses.

Bans may be for, 1 week, 1 month, permanent; and will be set at the discretion of the administrators where any extreme factors will be considered.

Any attempt to circumvent a temporary ban may lead to that ban being made permanent. Circumvention includes re-registering under a non-banned username, changing IP addresses to evade an IP ban, registering a new email account of evade an email ban.

Please note that the use of 'user warnings' has been changed.

Global moderators will now be able to issue 'User Warnings' and any PM that is being issued as a warning will be headed 'First Warning'

When a warning is given, a global moderator will inform the administrators of this warning so that if any further action is needed an administrator will issue any further warning or a ban if need be.
