Darnaway
went into the loft on Tuesday to give it a good clean out and noticed some wire lying in the corridor, on checking the wiring system connected to the Bricon ETS System i noticed that all the wiring enclosed above the false ceiling had been cut into numerous pieces. 1 adaptor/ power pack and a 6 field pad were all made useless. I have several mouse traps down under the floor grills and a couple of bags of poison yet no signs or the typical smell of mice. Checked the false ceiling but didn,t notice any droppings. Does anyone have an idea whet did the damage ?

Darnaway
the loft was made by Petron and the roof space is enclosed by wire so i suppose it could only be something that is reasonably small
JohnQuinn
Sounds like a rodent of some description is doing it, but if there are no droppings there are no mice. I would hazard a guess at a squirrel, they can get into just about anywhere that takes their fancy

wings
the loft was made by Petron and the roof space is enclosed by wire so i suppose it could only be something that is reasonably smallRats will chew through wire, check to see if there are any droppings the size of currants. or if there is anywhere in the sides of the loft that a rat can get in they like to chew wood also so look for that too. if there is a gap were you think they may be able to get in look to see if the area were they come in has any scaly dirt over the gap were there bodies have made contact that is asure sign of them. Guest homestead
I agree with John, rodent or squirrel both having nibbled cables in my loft
Darnaway
had a look around the loft in daylight and couldn,t find any obvious marks where rats have tried to gain access. will need to just keep an eye out. The traps and bait have still not been touched which makes me think it might have been a squirrel
