hi how are members on here keeping there widowhood hens as mine seem to keep pairing togther they are on v perches and a wire floor and feed on barley only any other idears but not boxing them as i dont like to box them up thanks Graham

Mine are and always have been kept in hen boxes, never been a problem, they get their liberty on Sunday for a fly and a bathhttp://forum.pigeonbasics.org/public/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif

aup m8 i see u have a wire floor if there pairing on the floor make the floor spring loaded so when they land on the floor it moves if u know what i mean ;) and put a couple inch fall on the wire floor i know what u mean about boxing them up i dont like to do this but i do think it is the best way hope this helps cheers Richard

thanks for the replys lads i have tried boxes once but found that they got wing stiff, there a pain really might try boxing them later in the week say from wednesday morning and leave them loose from saturday night

an ounce is roughly 28.5 gramms, get yourself an electric scale, and cut it down so each pigeon gets 25 gramms which is still adequete enough, and see how you get on.
