Peckedhen Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Take a look at this article - this guy is having success keeping pigeons this way. http://www.pigeon-lung.co.uk/articlefiles/art_keithmott.html
Guest shadow Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 Kieth keeps his pigeons like that as he suffers from pigeon lung, and did not want to stop flying and has had a lot of success. fly hard fly fair
snowy Posted October 3, 2005 Report Posted October 3, 2005 adamant, my son & i have only had our loft up 3-4 weeks, look at our website, we had 3 rabbit hutches all free in the local bargain pages. but just had to get a loft, simple three quarter inch ply would be better than a rabbit hutch though. http://freewebs.com/racingpigeonsbirmingham
Joe90 Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 i am looking to get started with pigeons with my kids. without getting into a big expence i was looking into a RABBIT HUTCH. any of you have any thoughts on this or any simple plans? adam My view on this is as follows, a rabbit hutch is for a rabbit and not a pigeon, the birds need space to fly and strech there wings etc. You can get an old 8x6 shed from the local paper for next to nothing, rabbit hutches are to small for rabbits and i dont like the thought of keeping birds in this way. People do keep pigeons like this but its not ideal its nice to hear that someone is setting up so well done, but i must say try to put that little extra in an it is well worth it. I bet you would end up getting a bigger pigeon coupe in a few mounths anyway so why not give your self a better start all the best and good luck this is just my opinion and people my not have the same view
jimmy white Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 looking at the price of rabbit hutches in pet city, you could build an 8 by 6 cheaper, buying , some 2by 2s and some boarding, or cheaper still ,,,,skips
