Hello, well I am the new scribe for the St Austell RPC in Cornwall, we are one of the biggest clubs left in Cornwall now days, with around 16 or so flying members, a real community friendly club, which encourages new members, but also has two young members , ( My self Ben Hammill) and also young Ryan Johnson.

 

I am also forwarding the last three weeks results,

 

On the 25/04/2009 15 club members sent 259 birds, to Honiton/ Smearthorpe which is around 70 miles, and were liberated into an extremely strong South West wind at 12 noon.

 

In top position was Mr Dave Johnson who has been away from flying for a few years so its good to see him back, on a velocity of 1179.7 with a blue Soontjens cock which also went on to win 1st fed 2nd combine, on 2nd, 3rd. 5th and 7th was a new partnership Chris Swabey and Clive Thomas on 1152.2 with a chequer hen, 1148.3 with a blue hen, 1119.2 with a dark chequer hen and 1103.2 with a blue pied hen. In at 4th, 6th and 10th is Mr Ca “Tony†Hubbard who does very well with his Busscheart, Soontjen family, on 1148.3 for 4th with a dark chequer Busscheart hen, 1107 with a blue chequer Soontjens hen, and 1093.8 with a Soontjens Busscheart cross Blue W/F cock. In at 8th was Young Ryan Johnson, who had a cracking season last year with his young birds, on 1101.5 with a blue hen, and 9th went to Mr and Mrs K + V Frost on 1095.6 with a blue cock.

I can’t believe that the birds went up into 26 mph winds and rain, but what can be done!?

 

On the 02/05/2009 16 members sent 226 birds to Wincanton, which were liberated into a North West wind at 0730 hrs.

 

On 1St and 2nd again is Mr Dave Johnson, and again has won the fed, on 1326 with a blue Soontjens cock and 1311.7 with a red Soontjens cock, this is Dave’s first year on widowhood and is really showing people how its done!

In 3rd was K+V Frost on 1289.8 with a blue hen, 4th was Mr Aubrey Old & Son Michael on 1280.2 with a blue hen. 5th, 7th and 8th went to Chris Swabey and Clive Thomas  on 1276.4 with a blue w/f cock, 1248 with a blue hen and 1244.2 with a grizzle which I have no sex for.

In at 6th was Mr C Hancock on 1249.3  with a Blue pied cock. 9th was Mr Ca “Tony†Hubbard with one of his Dark Chequer Busscheart Cocks on 1242, and in at 10th was yours truly in the partnership of Bunker & Hammill Loft 1 with a Chequer cock on 1241.9 out of a T D & L Hoskins Verheye x with a Mick Bowler of Ireland Verheye.

Yes that is my intentions, but also to give every one a bit of something in the press, i think every one should appear in there no matter how good or bad, doesnt feel nice to always be at the bottom and watch every 1 else getting in the mags

hi anybody is the st austell pigeon club finished or does it still exist i am trying to find the nearest pigeon fanciers to st austell would somebody please respond please and give me some information regards michael
